You know it had to happen...

Here it is.

There's been a lot of publicity lately about My Parents Were Awesome and every time I hear it, a voice in my head says "That's great for you, but mine were assholes..." Does this happen with you?

This is not leftover adolescent angst. My parents were assholes. It took me a long time and a lot of work to figure this out. Perhaps if this blog takes off, you'll hear more about this. Perhaps this will be cathartic.
